Q: What is a typical day like at The Collar Club?
A: Your dog will enjoy a fun, balanced day of supervised play, socialization, and rest. Dogs are grouped by size and temperament and rotate between indoor and outdoor play in our climate-controlled facility and large park-like yard. We focus on keeping dogs happy, engaged, and comfortable all day long.
Q: What’s included with overnight boarding?
A: Overnight boarding includes all the benefits of daycare plus a comfy sleep in our facility. Your dog will play during the day with friends and rest at night. Only your dog’s food needs to be packed. We will administer any medications at no charge. Feel free to bring your dogs comfort items, such as blanket or dog bed.
Q: Are dogs supervised overnight?
A: Yes — the owners live on site and monitor your dog after hours, with CCTV also in place for added safety.
Q: How many dogs are in a playgroup?
A: Groups vary depending on attendance, but we always consider temperament and safety first — ensuring each dog gets quality interaction and supervision.
Q: Are dogs supervised at all times?
A: Yes — your dog is always in a supervised play environment with staff focused on safety, fun, and wellbeing
Q: How do I enroll my dog?
A: To get started you’ll create an online account, register your dog with required info and vaccination records, and then schedule a meet & greet at our facility. There’s a $10 charge per dog for the meet & greet.
Q: Do you accept puppies or senior dogs?
A: Yes, we welcome both puppies and senior dogs! For puppies, we recommend they be at least 6 months old, as excessive exercise at a young age can impact healthy bone and joint development. Senior dogs are also welcome, and we take extra care to provide plenty of rest and quiet time to support their comfort and wellbeing. Every dog’s needs are assessed individually to ensure a safe and positive experience.
Q: What vaccinations are required?
A: Up-to-date vaccinations are required for registration — these help keep all playmates healthy. We require DHLPP (may come in a few different combination and name), and Rabies vaccinations. You’ll submit this info when you register.
Q: Do you require a temperament assessment?
A: Yes. All new dogs are required to attend a meet & greet, which includes a temperament assessment. This allows us to observe your dog’s behaviour, play style, and comfort level in a group setting so we can place them with the most suitable playmates. It is also an important safety measure and helps ensure that dogs with aggressive or unsafe behaviours are not admitted into our daycare. Not every daycare is the right fit for every dog, and our goal is to create a safe, positive, and stress-free environment for everyone in our care.
Q: Do you offer multi-day packages?
A: Yes — we offer punch passes that provide savings and flexibility for regular visits.
Q: Are discounts available for multiple dogs?
A: Yes — our pricing table reflects savings when multiple dogs from the same household attend together.
Q: How often is the facility cleaned?
A: Our facility is thoroughly deep-cleaned and sanitized at least once daily using dog-safe products, with additional cleaning done throughout the day as needed. We focus on maintaining excellent air quality, reducing dust, and eliminating odours to create a fresh, healthy environment. Keeping our space clean, tidy, and comfortable is a top priority for the wellbeing of both dogs and staff.
Q: Will I get updates or photos of my dog?
A: Many clients enjoy daily updates and photos — just ask us how you’d like to stay connected while your pup visits us! We post daily galleries on our Facebook page as well.
Q: Do I need to book ahead?
A: We recommend reservations for both daycare and boarding to ensure space. You may also call or text us to reserve your dogs spot.
Q: What if I’m late for pick-up?
A: We understand life happens! Just contact us — late pickups will be accommodated.
